Although Home Information Packs (HIPs), have been abolished, EPCs are still a necessary part of home selling and must be in production within 28 days of the property first being marketed. EPCs are valid for 10 years and must have been commissioned within 28 days of marketing. A property would also benefit from a new EPC when it has undergone refurbishment, for example additional loft insulation, a new boiler or windows.  |
